Some of my favorite memories with my children are outside, foraging, learning the plants together. There is nothing like the moment your child points to something growing and knows exactly what it is.
That’s what I made these for.
Look, it’s plantain. Nature’s Band-Aid.This is not a far off dream. This is what happens when children are given the tools to learn the land around them. And it starts simply — with a card, a plant, a name, and a few minutes together.
These cards feature realistic, full-plant images of Pacific Northwest medicinal plants. Not illustrated. Not simplified. The real plant, exactly as it looks outside.

The image-only cards, so your child can study the plant on its own.
The image + name cards, so they begin to recognize it by sight.
And the Plant Story Guide. A companion guide with a story I’ve written for each plant, along with the medicinal use for every single one in the deck.
You will know how yarrow supports a scraped knee, how chamomile supports a restless night, how plantain supports a bee sting.

Most plant materials for children are illustrated or cartoonish. They don’t translate outside. These are designed so what your child studies at home is exactly what they’ll see on the trail, in the yard, through a sidewalk crack. Real recognition. Not approximate.
