WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE
You’re outside together and your child notices something growing.
They pause, point, and say something about it.
Not because you just told them, but because they’ve seen it before.
They recognize the shape. The color. The way it grows.
It’s familiar.
THE JOY OF PLANT IDENTIFICATION
In just a few minutes a day, your child starts to know the plants.
And it’s actually really enjoyable to watch as a parent.
You begin to notice how they look more closely. How they remember. How they connect what they’ve seen before to what’s right in front of them.
Over time, the questions come.
- — What is that
- — Where does it grow
- — What does it do
- — Can we use it
- — How do we harvest it
HOW IT BEGINS
It begins with something simple.
A clear image.
A plant name.
A moment of recognition.
Salmonberry
St. John's Wort
Comfrey
You’re not trying to teach everything at once.
You’re giving them a way to become familiar with what’s already around them.

…and more
✵ WHAT YOU’LL GET
Medicinal Botanical Flashcards for Children — Volume 1

-
•
Two formats

image + name - • A short video showing how to introduce the cards at home
HOW YOU USE THEM
You sit down with your child during a calm part of the day and go through the cards together.
You look at the plants. You say the names. You move through them at your own pace.
There are two sets included—one with the plant names and one without—so they can begin recognizing on their own and then check themselves.
It becomes something they come back to. And over time, they start to know them.
"There’s a moment where it clicks. They see something outside and recognize it without being told. And they’re proud of that."
WHY THESE ARE DIFFERENT
Most flashcards are small or simplified in a way that doesn’t translate well outside.
These are designed so the full plant can be seen clearly. The images are realistic. The layout is clean. The names are simple.
So when your child sees that plant again, they recognize it.
