A Masterclass with Amanda Blain, Clinical Mind-Body Therapist, Trauma Specialist, and
Cross-cultural Educator
When healing the Body means healing
the Psyche too…
If you or those you support struggle with chronic conditions, illness, or disorders, and you want to better understand the cause-and-effect between the psyche and the body, then this class is for you. This is the intersection between psycho-neuro immunology research, indigenous wisdom, and applied mind-body science. You’ll come away with new skills and approaches that you can immediately root into your life and wellness practice.
➤ Psycho-neuro immunology
From 2013–2017, Amanda mentored with David Patient, one of the longest-living people with HIV/AIDS, and his partner Neil, a psycho-neuroimmunologist. During this time, Amanda was initiated into the mind-body science approach to healing that kept David alive for 34 years after doctors told him he had only six months to live. In this class, she will share the foundations of applied psycho-neuroimmunology (PNI) as she learned it directly from these revolutionary mentors and describe how you can use applied PNI to improve chronic conditions of mind and body.

➤ Healing the Shadow-identity
Psycho-neuroimmunology recognizes the “Shadow” as a constellation of emotions, beliefs, and perceptions that contribute to chronic conditions and dis-ease. In indigenous cultures around the world, healing the body often includes addressing what modern psychologists refer to as the “shadow.” Our elusive Shadow hides in the subconscious and unconscious psyche, often unseen and unheard within our externally focused lifestyles. This class will equip you with a Shadow Assessment Tool to help transform your own shadow and support the healing journeys of others.
➤ The Identity of Sickness and Health
We’re going beyond the anecdotal and into the scientific to understand how specific perceptions and unprocessed life events affect the brain and body. Drawing from advanced psycho-neuro and trauma research, you’ll learn why illness and imbalance often contradict environmental circumstances, nature vs. nurture hypotheses, and even lifestyle choices.

➤ Your roadmap for applying what you’ve learned
Whether you want to use this wisdom in your own healing journey or to support others, Amanda will offer options for deepening your application of what you’ve learned beyond this class. She’ll recommend a pathway tailored to you and your unique place in life.
